Comparing quotes in Artintech ERP helps procurement teams make informed purchasing decisions by evaluating different suppliers and pricing options efficiently. Follow these steps to navigate and utilize the Quote Comparison page effectively.

Step 1: Navigate to the Quote Comparison Page #

Why this step is important: Accessing the Quote Comparison page allows you to analyze multiple quotes for a specific item or supplier.

Best Practices:

  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to access the Procurement section.

  • Use this feature to streamline procurement by comparing multiple options in one place.

 

How to do it:

  1. Log into your Artintech ERP system.

  2. From the left sidebar, navigate to the Procurement section.

  3. Click on Quote Comparison to access the page.

Step 2: Select an Item for Comparison #

Why this step is important: Selecting the right item ensures that you compare relevant quotes from different suppliers.

Best Practices:

  • Use standardized item names to avoid confusion.

  • Ensure that the item exists in the system before proceeding.

How to do it:

  1. At the top of the Quote Comparison page, locate the Item dropdown.

  2. Click the dropdown to view a list of available items.

  3. Select the desired item for which you want to compare quotes.

Step 3: Filter by Supplier (Optional) #

Why this step is important: Filtering by supplier helps narrow down quotes from a specific vendor, improving decision-making.

Best Practices:

  • If evaluating multiple suppliers, leave the selection open to view all available quotes.

  • If you have a preferred supplier, use the filter to streamline the results.

How to do it:

  1. Next to the Item dropdown, find the Supplier dropdown.

  2. Click it to view a list of all suppliers.

  3. Select a specific supplier if needed, or leave it as select… to view quotes from all suppliers.

Step 4: Apply Quote Date Filters #

Why this step is important: Filtering quotes by date ensures you only view recent or relevant quotations.

Best Practices:

  • Use a defined date range to avoid outdated or irrelevant quotes.

  • Always check for the latest quotes before making a decision.

How to do it:

  1. Locate the Quote From and Quote To date pickers.

  2. Click on the calendar icon in each field to select the respective start and end dates.

Step 5: View and Analyze Quotes #

Why this step is important: The table displays all relevant quotes, helping users analyze prices, suppliers, and terms efficiently.

Best Practices:

  • Pay attention to unit prices and payment terms.

  • Ensure the supplier details match the required criteria.

How to do it:

  1. Once filters are set, the table below will display the quotes that match your criteria.

  2. The table includes the following columns:

    • Item Name

    • Quantity (QTY)

    • Unit Price

    • Supplier Name

    • Quote Number

    • Quote Title

    • Payment Term

    • Quote Date

    • Expiry Date

Step 6: Sort and View Quote Details #

Why this step is important: Sorting helps in quickly identifying the best quotes, while viewing details ensures all necessary information is considered.

Best Practices:

  • Sort by Unit Price to quickly identify cost-effective quotes.

  • Use the Valid toggle to filter out expired quotes.

How to do it:

  1. Click on any column header to sort the quotes based on that field.

  2. Click on a row to view detailed information about a specific quote.

  3. Use the Valid toggle to display only active quotes.

By effectively using the Quote Comparison page in Artintech, users can efficiently analyze different quotes for a specific item, ensuring the best procurement decisions.
